New Product Announcement: AlertPay
New Product Announcement: AlertPay
You've been asking for it, and it's here!
FanBox is happy to announce that AlertPay is now available as a payment (top-up) option for all users.
Instructions for topping up your FanBox Bank via AlertPay:
1. Login to your AlertPay account and click, "Send Money" at the top left of the screen:
2. In the "To" field enter finance@corp.fanbox.com as the email address that you're sending money to.
In the "Purchase Type" dropdown, select Service.
3. VERY IMPORTANT: You must make sure that your email address that you use to sign in to FanBox is included in the "Details" field.
Without your email address -- the same email you use for signing in to FanBox, the finance team cannot identify your FanBox account, and so there will be significant delays in adding your top-up to your FanBox Bank.
Then, click the "Next" button.
4. On the next page, enter your 4-digit AlertPay PIN number, click the "Send" button and you're all set!
THAT'S IT!
Your top up will appear in your FanBox Bank within 48 hours of being successfully received by FanBox!
Cheers,-JC
By the way, although Top-Ups ARE allowed, AlertPay does NOT appear to currently allow Cash Outs to outside the United States.

FanBox Auctions are live!
This is a very exciting product especially because it will help FanBoxers earn.
In this post, I’ll show you how to earn by bidding – thanks to a new FanBox invention – something that’s never been done before:
Introduction:
When you place a bid on something, all your friends and fans will see your bid in their feed – like this:
Money-Making Idea # 1:
As you can see, by placing a bid, you automatically spread the item to your friends and fans.
They can then instantly place a bid on that item directly from their feed.
From their feed, if a friend or fan places a bid and wins the auction, you get credit for that:
You earn 6% of the final price!
As you can see, bidding is a fantastic way to earn – because when you bid, you’re also acting as a promoter for the item -- so you earn as a result.
But wait – it gets even better:
When you bid on something, the seller’s friends and fans also see YOUR bid in their feed – so YOU get credit if any of them bid.
Yes, that means that you’re getting credit for both YOUR friends and fans -- and THE SELLER’S friends and fans!
OK, hold on… there’s more: Are you ready for this?
Make sure you’re sitting down for this:
If ANY of your friends or fans – or ANY of the seller’s friends or fans – comments on your bid -- or Likes it -- or even reposts it – your bid will then spread to that person’s friends and fans too (the friends and fans of the person that commented, Liked or reposted your bid).
And if any of those new people comment, Like or repost it – it spreads even further – and so on and so forth…
… like a virus that’s gone crazy-viral…
… all the while increasing the number of people that notice YOUR bid from hundreds of people… to thousands of people… and beyond.
Remember: ALL those people can place a bid (on the thing that you had bid on) directly from their feed, and:
When ANY of them bid, YOU get credit: 6% of the final price
As you can see, it’s almost foolish to NOT bid on something cool you notice!
Many people will earn lots – by bidding on products and services that spread virally through the community!
OK, so what if you end up winning an auction, but you really didn’t want to own the auctioned item?
Don’t worry! Just check out Money-Making Idea #2, below.
Money-Making Idea 2:
Now, let’s say that you bid on something, and you end up winning the auction.
And let’s say that you don’t really need or want this item.
Check this out:
As soon as you win the item, you can instantly turn around and auction it on FanBox!
You don’t even need to wait for the item to be shipped to you.
Just tell the person that sold it to you, to hold on the shipping…
Then, when your own auction has a winner, send your buyer’s shipping address to the person that sold it to you.
In this manner, the product is shipped directly from the person that sold it to you, to the person that bought it from you.
You didn’t even need to deal with shipping or handling the item.
And since you’re not shipping the item, in your auction you can offer free shipping -- which your buyers will love!
So, start earning by bidding!
Auctions are live!
Auctions are live!
In your Dashboard, under Provide, notice some new things:
You can easily switch your products and services to be sold in an auction (instead of fixed price), by visiting your "I'm Selling page":
From there, click on each of your products or services that you want to convert to an auction, and notice the new choice there:
Click the green "Continue" button, and on the next page, you'll find your auction controls:
Your Starting Price is where the bidding starts. Set this low to ensure you create excitement and your product or service gets lots of bids.
Remember, every time someone bids on your product or service, your item gets shown to all of their friends and fans -- so set your Starting Bid low to get lots of excitement and bids.
The "reserve price" is the very least you are willing to accept for your item. Your product or service will not be sold for less than that.
It is recommended that you do NOT use the reserve price - as it may turn people off from bidding on your items in the future. If you do use it, try and keep it as low as possible.
If you're selling a service, you can charge an additional "Gas cost" fee. If you're selling a Product, you can charge for Shipping.
There are no fees taken out for Gas or Shipping. The entirety of that amount will be inserted into your bank when the sale is complete.
It's as simple as that!
The best way to learn how to use Auctions is to play with it!
Start by auctioning some things around the house that you are no longer using. The more interesting or valuable it is, the more likely you'll get lots of bids and excitement around your auction!
Do you want your Products & Services placed in front of 10 million people a day?
When an Auction ends, who earns?
When an Auction ends, who earns?
1) The Seller, of course.
2) The Success Coach of the Seller.
3) The Promoter. (I'll define this below)
4) And the Success Coach of the Promoter.
Who is the Promoter?
If the buyer clicked on an Ad, the Promoter is the person that created the Ad - earning 6% or 30% of the final price - depending on whether she paid for the Ad.
The Promoter can also be the person whose bid on the item caused a chain reaction of feed stories to go out - including an unlimited number of Likers, Commenters and Reposters that further spread the word.
Example:
Jo is selling Olives and Zoe bids on it.
Arlene (Zoe's friend) comments on it, spreading it to Arlene's friends and fans - one of which is Jenny Lee.
Jenny Lee "Likes" it - spreading it to her friends and fans - one of which is Scott.
Scott reposts it, spreading it to his friends and fans - one of which is JC.
JC bids and is the winner.
Guess who earns 6% of the final price?
Anyone?
You guessed it: Zoe.
You see, all the viralness is tracked back to a bid. The person that bid gets the credit, because she didn't just "Like" it - she put her money where her mouth was - proving that she really Liked it because she didn't mind paying for it to own it.
In FanBox Auctions, it pays to bid on things:
Not only are you helping your friends and fans, your Success Coach, and the seller -- but you're also setting yourself up to be a seller (if you're lucky enough to win the auction).
If you win the product or service, enjoy it -- or place it up for Auction.
Seriously - what better way to find things to sell, than by bidding on them?
If you don't end up winning, you still earn as the Promoter.
And if you are the winner, you're setting up shop and now have things to sell.

The new Notifications feature is live:
The purpose of Notifications is to make it easier for you to build your LOYAL fan base.
You will be notified whenever someone leaves a comment in any of your blog posts - so that you can quickly respond to them to ensure you maintain their interest in you and your blogs.
Notifications are also sent to you when people bid, like or leave comments on any of your products or services or photos.
Remember, the best way to build your earnings on FanBox is to create a LOYAL fan base.
To maximize your earnings:
More important than the QUANTITY of fans, is the QUALITY of your RELATIONSHIP with your fans.
(Haven't you noticed that sometimes people with lots of fans make less money than people with less fans? This is because the quality of your relationships is more important than just having lots of fans).
So, to maximize your earnings by building HIGH QUALITY relationships, be sure to ALWAYS respond to everyone that has taken the time to leave you a comment or question.
By doing so, you will become more important to them, so they will spend more time in your blogs... and the compensation algorithms will also recognize that you are building quality relationships.
The new Notifications feature will let you know immediately when someone has left a comment in your blogs.
Your fans are your customers.
Try to not miss any opportunity to satisfy your fans -- and soon you will notice that they are there for you.
Any questions? I'm here for you.
